The Excitement! The Thrill! The long awaited Dining Reservation is now in Beta. Jonas just released a sneak peak to us, at TTA, of the new Dining Reservations module and it looks g-r-e-a-t.
As with all of Jonas products it's fully integrated with the member database, POS Sales items & categories, reporting, etc. This makes an extremely easy tool to setup and use not to mention all of the robust existing capabilities such as flow of data such as member file, demographics, etc. Here is a quick list of functionality that I've only quickly scratched the surface on:
* The reservation typess can be color coded for easy viewing of reserved, checked in, cancelled, no shows, seated, etc.
* Reservation Sources can be tracked and are user configurable (phoned in, taken at front desk, Martha the barkeeper took, etc).
* Meal periods are very flexilble and established by the user. They can be created based upon day, date, time, season.
* Turn Rates can be designated by the type of table, serivce period which is user configured (lunch, dinner), even the size of party. Multiples can be setup for any meal period.
* Flexible table "types" are created with with max and minimum covers as well as a designated number of seats.
* Something called a table attribute may be setup for those details specific for a table or service period -- perhaps a ceasar bowl, wine bucket, etc may be needed.
* The user defines how many dining rooms may be setup. The number is unlimited. In fact, multiple "facilities" with "subfacilities" maybe setup and accessed from when granted user privilidges.
* This new tool pushes a reservation directly into the POS for the Chit to be created. This is great functionality for a hostess stand which will the server to pick up a check without inputing the member information and begin quickly order entry.
