The Jonas POS Partitions function allows users to create different copies of a POS setup to be used by different areas of the club. Each partition runs uniquely with its own table of sales items, menus, and rules. This segregation provides clubs with the ability to display only those items relating to a specific department. For example, partitioning the Proshop from the Main Club will give the Pro Shop access to only its POS sales items and related inventory. One department cannot view the information belonging to the other departments. Each partition’s reports, functions, and end-of-day procedures run separately.
Clubs may choose Data Partitioning when they need to revamp or recreate a Sales area in Jonas. This is a great way to copy then paste a POS sales area. Also, creating a new partition will allow the club to set up a new sales area from scratch with relevant sales areas and categories, accurate reporting, etc. The club will may still have access to the old partition and thus historical documentation.
